Painting Quote Review
Understand your painting quote before you commit.
Scope Painting helps you understand what a painter has allowed for, identify gaps and ask the right questions before accepting a quote.
Package and fee
$275 including GST. Covers one residential property and one quotation of up to five pages, supported by up to 20 relevant photographs. Includes a concise written review and one follow-up email to clarify the findings.
What we review
- The stated surfaces, quantities and areas to be painted.
- Preparation, repairs, coating system and number of coats.
- Access, protection, clean-up, exclusions and GST treatment.
- The pricing basis and whether the supplied information supports an informed view on the price.
What you receive
A written summary of the main findings, unclear inclusions, potential gaps and prioritised questions to put to the painter. Where the information is insufficient for a reliable price assessment, we explain what needs to be clarified or inspected.
How to request a review
- Email the complete quotation, including its terms and exclusions, to projects@scopepainting.au.
- Include clear photographs, approximate dimensions, the property suburb and postcode, your main question and preferred completion date. Tell us about visible staining, peeling or cracking and any sale or photography deadlines.
- Provide your name and contact details. If acting for the owner, confirm you have authority to share the information and identify who should receive the report.
- We check eligibility and completeness, then confirm the scope, fee and delivery date before you proceed.
Please avoid sending bank details, identity documents or unrelated personal information.
Scope and exclusions
This is a remote document and photograph review. It does not include a site inspection, measured take-off, testing, verification of concealed conditions or assessment of completed workmanship. Multiple quotes, larger tender packs, detailed specifications and dispute reports require a separate agreed scope.
Booking and changes
We confirm the agreed scope, total fee and report delivery date in writing before taking payment. Payment is due before work begins. Any additional work or costs require your written agreement.
If you cancel before work starts or travel begins, we offer a full refund. If work has started, we will discuss the work completed and the appropriate refund for the undelivered portion, subject to your legal rights. If we cannot provide the agreed service, we will offer a suitable alternative or refund for the undelivered service. These arrangements do not exclude your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your next step
Use the findings with your preferred painter, or ask Scope Painting for a separate proposal to prepare a detailed scope or coordinate the work.
